Hello and welcome to Waggish Writer!
I am Erin Fedeson, creator of Waggish Writer. I am ecstatic (slightly terrified too) to welcome you! Waggish Writer is my personal website/blog where I am "releasing creativity into the universe via the Internet"!
As a primary introvert, I have hoarded my writing to myself. I have bins of notebooks filled to the brim with ideas and scenes from epic stories stored in my brain. It also manifested itself into many Google Documents with ideas and story starts.
This hoarding would have continued until Covid-19 really struck Michigan. I found myself at loose ends. Michigan's "Stay Safe, Stay Home" order in late March/early April reduced my work as a barista to no hours. I found time to reflect and listen to my inner voice I've often kept shut out due to responsibilities and being an adult.
This is what my inner voice said:
"I am a writer. I have something to say. It's time to stop being afraid. It's time to be vulnerable. It's time to let the universe's light shine upon the paths of my imagination. It's time to be an author."
To answer the call, I have created Waggish Writer, my personal website where I open my writing personas to the world. My writing personas are as follows:
Author (the traditional storyteller)
Poet (whimsical, rhyming and free verse fun)
Screenwriter (a visual, heavy endeavor to bring stories to life on the big screen)
Journalist (a blend of information and creative presentation)
FanFiction Writer (a writer who braves the depths of others' creations to spin an original tale within their world and rules with some slight bending)
As someone whose naturally inclined to help others, I have created a Resources page. The intent behind it is to support fellow writers and assist visitors to Waggish Writer in reading my content. My greatest wish is to inspire others to try their hand at any of the creative mediums I present on the website.
