Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit Waggish Writer.
My reflection of Week 7 is somewhat a glance forward to Week 8.
Why do I glance forward? Well, what I noticed is that views for my blog posts increase on the days that I share it with the universe via Facebook.
This increase of blog post visits inspired me to increase my website's visibility to the universe. The way I plan to do this is to showcase different personas once a week (see details of my plan in Week 7 Updates, Bloopers, and Schemes).
My first phase of the campaign will be to revised posts from my first days of starting the blog. Ideally, I will catch up where I have a dialogue with both casual visitors and subscribers about my work.
Something that has happened this week is I did not take the time to work on "Samurai Sisters" or "Divine Devices." My partner and I have been listening to "Critical Role: The Mighty Nein." It sparked a story idea that I mapped out in my head from the protagonist's origins all the way to the final chapter. There are gaps in the idea, but the pathway is there. It all happened when I was supposed to be asleep.
Instead of beating myself up about not getting to the main stories, I am considering it a holiday where I can play around in unexplored parts of my imagination. Once the holiday is done, I can return to my work with new ideas bubbling. New projects I can look forward to when my other projects are done. The tentative title to this series, should I chose to follow the rabbit hole, is "Misventures."
Looking with the week forward, it shall be an interesting challenge to advertise material on Facebook, but I know there are a few obligations on the weekend. It will mean that I will need to sit down and invest in time for my writing, so I do not feel guilty for enjoying the weekend.
Well, that is my reflections for this week. I appreciate your visit and time. Wish me luck!
