"In this time of crisis, life goes on."

Updated: Apr 23, 2021

Created March 25, 2020

In this time of crisis, life goes on.

Flowers poke out of the barren ground.

Birds fly and sing the summer chorus.

Squirrels scamper between the blooming trees.

The sun darts back and forth between the clouds.

In this time of crisis, life goes on.

Face masks hang from trees and litter the ground.

Gloves lay inside out in shopping carts.

Cautious strangers walk 6 feet apart.

Shoppers prowl the empty aisle for goods.

In this time of crisis, life goes on.

Winter's chill is reluctant to go.

Snow showers melt beneath the sun's rays.

Winter coats hover by storage.

Brave souls run in the chilly spring air.

In this time of crisis, life goes on.

Vibrant bustle are now quiet streets.

Stores post outage of cleaning supplies.

Schools and businesses close for safety,

Leaving restless and frustrated souls.

In this time of crisis, life goes on.

It's time to balance the human scale

And harmonize the mind, soul, and heart.

Speak to love ones and improve yourself

For when this time passes, we go on.
