Hello and thank you for visiting Waggish Writer.
If you have been following "A Matter of Mantra" series, you may be wondering about what this post is about since there is no mantra listed in the above title.
For first time visitors, "A Matter of Mantra" is a blog series I created where I share the mantras I use in my daily life, how they came to me, and how they help me.
This special edition post is created to talk about what happens when a mantra is embraced and what this means.
The truth is, repeating a mantra is a way to ingrain a belief into one's mind. Repeating enough times will make the mantra into a belief and that belief into a reality. Making the mantra a reality means that the mantra has been embraced.
How do I know? It is because I have reached the point with one of my mantras that I believe it: "I am a writer on an adventure to become an author."
So, how do I know it is time to embrace the mantra? First clue could be the crimping in my hand as I have a total of fourteen mantras I write on the days I journal five times.
5 x 14 = 70 lines I dedicate in my journal to my mantras.
Writing my mantras does help me get through my journal writing faster. The journal my best friend gave me for a Christmas gift this past December is one I started April 10 with 41 pages left, which I have since moved through a new journal and just started another journal that are focused on my mantras. If I feel the need to share my thoughts in my journal, I will do so. For now, writing my mantras is enough to set myself up for success.
Of the entries since I started the journal, 14 entries have used all 14 mantras. Therefore, 14 x 14 = 196 lines I've dedicated for my mantras.
What's the second clue that I have embraced my mantra? I know that I am a writer on an adventure to become an author by publishing Waggish Writer and releasing creativity into the universe via the Internet.
When I embrace the mantra, what happens?
The mantra does not disappear. It is already part of your beliefs and your reality. This can either mean focusing on other mantras or deciding on what new mantra to embrace.
I am still deciding which way I would swing, but that is part of the fun of mantras. They can be whatever you want it to be. If I make a new one, I'm certain you'll see it down the line.
Thank you for taking time to visit Waggish Writer. If you wish to show your appreciation, you are welcome to...
